Ulpiano Flores is an experienced life sciences consultant whose passion lays at the intersection between science and business. He brings deep hands-on experience supporting emerging and established biopharmaceutical companies through complex CMC, QA, serialization, and clinical-to-commercial readiness challenges.
In his role at Converge Consulting, Ulpiano has supported more than 25 life sciences clients across Serialization/DSCSA compliance, CMC, Quality, Clinical and Commercial Supply Chain, and Launch Readiness. He has led multiple concurrent engagements, serving as a trusted client-side partner responsible for project delivery, stakeholder coordination, and execution. Ulpiano frequently acts as a serialization project lead, guiding companies through DSCSA readiness activities including system assessments, implementation, transaction management, and post-go-live hyper-care.
Beyond serialization, Ulpiano has supported CMC and facility risk assessments, including FMEA development and remediation planning for biologics and cell and gene therapy facilities. His experience also includes quality document authorship, audit support, batch release readiness, quality system execution, and the development of commercial supply chain gap assessments and launch roadmaps. He has worked on clinical supply chain and IRT engagements spanning vendor selection, UAT testing, packaging operations, and returns management.
Prior to joining Converge, Ulpiano worked at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals within both the Analytical Development and Commercial Launch Excellence teams. His work included in-house characterization and stability testing of reference materials, as well as supporting international launch planning and execution. Earlier in his career, he managed shipping logistics in the chemical industry and project management for the Singapore F1 Grand Prix.
Ulpiano holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Business Administration from Northeastern University and a Biotechnology Engineering Certificate from UCLA. He is a certified TraceLink Technical Consultant and System Administrator and is proficient in English and Spanish.
