Robert Cantow is a Supply Chain executive with more than 30 years of experience designing, transforming, and managing complex global supply chains in the Medical devices, Pharmaceutical and Biotech industries. He has deep expertise in global strategy, planning, logistics, manufacturing, and sourcing in the life sciences vertical, Bob brings a focus on supply chain transformations, which provide a competitive advantage resulting in increased revenue and profit.
Prior to his work in consulting, Bob served as the Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations and Effectiveness for Biogen, where he was responsible for managing the supply chain Center of Excellence, supporting over $10B in annual sales. While at Biogen, Bob designed and led the execution of a three-year supply chain transformation roadmap, creating the supply chain infrastructure required to support a $15B global biotechnology business.
As the VP of Supply Chain Operations at Boston Scientific, Bob was responsible for managing 42 global fulfillment centers supporting over $8.0 B in annual sales. Earlier, Bob managed four manufacturing plants and eleven distribution centers as the Director of Materials Management at W.R. Grace with responsibilities that encompassed forecasting, master scheduling, raw material purchasing, inventory and capacity planning for 600 dialysis clinics. Bob broadened his range of supply chain expertise at Pfizer in a series of Purchasing, Manufacturing Planning, Logistics and Production Management positions.
Bob earned his MBA in General Management as well as his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut. He has received additional training from the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).
