Jennifer Foulkes is an experienced Supply Chain leader with more than 20 years of experience in managing global supply chains, sourcing, and inventory management. Foulkes specializes in Clinical Supply Chain management with proven experience in all areas of clinical supply management from starting up phase 1 first-in-concept studies to managing and closing phase 3 global double-blinded comparator trials. She advises clients on strategies to develop supply chains that expedite FPI and provide long-term reliability to patients. Foulkes performs supply partner selections for packaging and IRT partners, implements and oversees the partnerships, and serves as an SME when day-to-day support is required.
She has implemented Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes at numerous organizations, advising clients on inventory management strategies for all drug stages from raw materials to finished goods, which result in better visibility to supply needs, reduced volume of product expiry, and opportunities for cost reduction. Through her work at Converge, Foulkes has served as Director of Clinical Supply for several clients including Akebia Pharmaceuticals, Spero Therapeutics, and Scorpion Therapeutics.
Prior to working with Converge, she held leadership roles in supply chain with responsibility for supplier selection, qualification, and negotiations, as well as start-up and management of ongoing supplier relationships. Foulkes has also negotiated consignment and supplier-managed inventory agreements to reduce the day-to-day burden on buyers and overall cost to organizations. In one case, she rationalized clinical trial SKUs by 66%, leading to improved delivery times and a reduction in expired product.
Foulkes holds a B.S. in Management Engineering and a M.S. in Operations Design & Leadership from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
