Kang joins DHCG bringing his 13+ years of experiences in Life Science, CRO/CDMO and Cell & Gene Therapy space. Before DHCG, he served as Director of Business Development, Asia at AGC Biologics, a Global CDMO for Biologics and C>. During his time in AGC Biologics, he led overall BD activities in China and then extended to Singapore, India and ANZ. He supported multiple customer projects including China BLA for Biologics and Autologous/Allogenic CAR-T projects for global trials. He was delegated as APAC Industry Committee member at ISCT.
Prior to AGC Biologics, Kang served as Director of Business Development, China at GenScript Biotech CDMO division (now ProBio CDMO). He was responsible for CRO/CDMO sales, managing a complex service portfolio from drug discovery, CMC, GMP manufacturing and licensing. He led the achievement of strategic partnerships with a couple of leading Biotech companies in China for modalities of ADC, BsAb, Allo CAR-T, TCR-T and mRNA therapies to support their IND’s and further licensing deals.
Before GenScript Biotech, Kang served for multiple management roles in global Life Science companies including Head of Product Marketing at Thermo Fisher China, where he led the product marketing and vertical marketing team to drive commercial growth thru new product launches, localization partnerships and marketing activities for Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry division; and Global Product Manager at Mettler Toledo Process Analytics in Switzerland where he developed and launched a series of in-line process pH & DO & Cond transmitters which are widely used in biopharmaceutical manufacturing lines and UPW & WFI utilities in pharma industry.
Kang holds a PhD degree in Optical Engineering specializing in Spectroscopy Analysis from Zhejiang University.
